About

In both homes each bedroom is airy and spacious with either ensuite or washbasin and vanity unit, set out to form a private bed sitting room. There are comfortable lounges, a separate dining room and established grounds to sit in. Our homes have either a five-person passenger lift or a stair chair lift to give our service users independent access and convenience to all floors. We have walk in bath on the ground floor so that both mobile and less mobile service users can enjoy a leisurely soak.

We pride ourselves on providing only the best home cooking, using locally sourced fresh produce. A daily menu is provided giving each service user a choice of breakfast, lunch, tea and supper. Meals can be taken in their room, if so wished although we do encourage service users to spend time with each other during the day and at meal times. Snacks are provided throughout the day/night and all dietary requirements are catered for.

Family and visitors are encouraged to drop in and there are no fixed visiting hours. We strive to promote an effective partnership with relatives and friends, being open and consulting and involving everyone in choice to ensure the highest standards of Quality Care for our family of service users.

We understand that each of our service users need varying levels of support and we pride ourselves on being able to tailor the care we provide to each individual’s needs. We strive to keep our service users active and provide daily activities based on needs an ability of each individual service user. To this end we have regular meetings with our service users, their family, friends and professionals to ensure that our service users’ needs are being met.

We are able to advise and support families and service users with information on care fees. If you require any further information please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our Homes are s registered with Denbighshire County Council and CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales) as a Private Residential Home for individuals living with Dementia and we welcome their inspection at all times.

For security we operate CCTV cameras at our care homes.

It is the sincere wish of the proprietors that our service users come to look upon Walshaw House/ Walshaw Lodge as their own home, and as such, they seek to ensure that each and every one of our service users is as happy and as comfortable with us , as they were in their own home.
